Exact 3236 - A New PE Plastomer for Flexible Packaging
ExxonMobil’s Exact 3236 polyethylene plastomer offers an outstanding combination of low seal initiation temperature, broad and high hot tack window, high stiffness, and low coefficient of friction (COF) - particularly on warm surfaces. It is an ideal resin for flexible packaging requiring high-performance sealant layers. The low COF and high stiffness should be particularly well-suited for all-PE laminates, which can be more difficult to run given inherently higher web extensibility. In this session, Tom Miller and Marianne Smits will present an overview of this new ethylene alpha olefin copolymer including laminated and non-laminated sealing performance and a subsequent horizontal form, fill and seal packaging line case study. Detailed follow-up discussions are welcome and will be arranged after the presentation.
